How Exchange Bank helps protect you
As a financial institution, Exchange Bank maintains robust security systems and protocols to protect your personal and financial information.
- Every Exchange Bank employee is trained to handle sensitive data carefully to help prevent theft.
- If your debit or credit cards are ever compromised — or fraud is suspected — we may lock or reissue them, depending on the level of risk.
- Multi-factor authentication is available for online and mobile banking logins.
- We’ll never ask for personal information by email or text. We’ll only discuss those details in a secure setting — in person or over the phone — after verifying your identity.
Ways to protect yourself
- Be very cautious about sharing personal information on social media and other sites, and set your privacy controls so only the people you choose can see your posts.
- Review your credit report regularly for loans or accounts you didn’t open.
- Share your information only with verified merchants when a purchase or agreement genuinely requires it.
- Use your EMV chip, Tap to Pay, or a digital wallet whenever you can, and avoid swiping your card at point-of-sale terminals.
- Steer clear of isolated, standalone ATMs, which are easier for criminals to tamper with.
- Sign up for Account Alerts so you’re notified of purchases on your cards and accounts as they happen.
- If you lose or misplace a credit card, debit card, or checks, let Exchange Bank know immediately.
- Change your online and mobile banking passwords regularly and keep them hard to guess.
- Tell us when you’re traveling and where you’re headed, especially for trips outside the country.
